I'm a senior frontend engineer who builds the component systems and infrastructure other teams build on top of, and I lead teams through the parts that are easy to get wrong. My work spans elections data infrastructure at NBC, frontend systems for Apple and Paramount, and a medical imaging annotation tool that pathologists preferred over the industry-standard software.
How I work
I build the infrastructure other engineers build on top of, like component libraries, shared patterns, and the abstractions that let a team move fast without breaking things. I write production code, leave it better documented than I found it, and treat accessibility and security as defaults rather than cleanup. The through-line across my career has been absorbing complexity so the people building on top of my work don't have to.Where I'm strongest
- Designing systems and component libraries, from architecture through implementation, documentation and adoption, built so other teams, including non-frontend engineers, can ship production UI safely
- Accessibility as a default: 508 and WCAG compliance, plus audit logging and access controls for HIPAA-regulated medical applications
- Security-minded frontend work, like finding and closing whole classes of vulnerability at the pattern level rather than app by app
- Complex data UI and visualization, including gigapixel medical imaging and real-time election data under load
