Diplomacy Through the Ages

I participated in 2018's Devpost ImpactHack, and my team won second place for our visualization of embassies throughout time. Our code was offered as a starting point for 2019's participants.

Separately, I adapted the original project into a Wordpress plugin that took in a csv and plotted the location of embassies and legations in place and time. The user could play or pause the timeline, and skip to any year to see the spread of US influence across the globe.

It would be lovely to see this project expand. With the right data, it would be fascinating to see the global influence of world powers ebb and flow through the lens of peace and diplomacy, as well as to provide context around major world events, which often have an impact on embassies and legations.
